Education in the Hills
Education in the Dandenong Ranges
The list below is not exhaustive of the education offerings in the Dandenong Ranges.
Our kinders (pre-schools) and schools tend to have lower numbers than suburban or city schools, reflective of our Hills population.
Each is unique and worth looking at, one of them is sure to be perfect for your child.
Alternatively, we also have a number of homeschoolers in the area.

Early Education in the Dandenong Ranges
Throughout the Hills, you will find a mixture of old and new school buildings.
Some schools have been completely rebuilt, such as Ferny Creek and Mt Dandenong Primary Schools.
Others such as Sassafras, Kallista, Monbulk, Silvan and Olinda have retained their original buildings with modern extensions added over time.
The Patch Primary is one of our newest, first opened in the 1980s.
